You are bidding on a new, never used Navy VF-124 Gunfighters patch that I have owned since '83-'84. This unit began as VF-53 in August of 1948 and became VF-124 in April 1958. At that time, the unit was responsible for training F-8 Crusader Pilots and ground crews while maintaining battle readiness. In October of 1972, the unit recieved its first F-14A Tomcats and by December 1988 had trained 1502 aircrew, over 14,400 maintenance personnel and flown over 153,193 flight hours. Vf-124 became a casualty of downsizing and was disestablished in September 1994. I will always try my very best to describe these items so please examine the photo closely and feel free to ask questions prior to bidding as these items are sold "as is" and cannot be returned or refunded . *Seller reserves the right to cancel auction at any time.
