This item up for bids is a very unique and special piece. Is an US American Flag that was flown on the USS Battleship Arizona at Pearl Harbor. When I was in the Navy I was stationed at Ford Island, Naval Station Pearl Harbor and before the memorial was built we use to raise the flag on the mooring key which the Arizona was tied to. Later I went back to Pearl to take the Memorial Tour and while I was t I purchased this flag. It was Flown on the Memorial Flag Pole on the USS Arizona on August 1st 1996. I brought this flag back with me from the islands and its been on the wall in my office every since. Its authentic and guaranteed from the USS Arizona with its letter of Authenticity and the USS Arizona Seal on it. Signed and dated by the National Parks Superintendent USS Arizona Memorial. Its a very nice piece but its a bit yellowed from age. This is a very humble item and just brings back the memories when I was stationed t Its just time to move it along and let it go to some good person who can spend some time describing it to others who will understand the sacrifice of the 1,100 men still aboard the ship. This is a very special and respectable piece and will bring many years of history with it. Just a very impressive and historic item with w its been and what it stood for. Thanks and enjoy.
