This is the Cruise Book of the USS Brooke DEG-1, a guided missile escort ship, on her first WestPac Cruise, 28 December 1967 to 5 July 1968. The USS Brooke was the first of a new class of escort ships having an anti-air capability provided by guided missiles. She operated for a short period in the Sea of Japan, and then had three line periods in the Tonkin Gulf. Ports of call were: Hawaii, Sasebo,Taiwan,Yokosuka, Hong Kong, Subic Bay, and Singapore. 8 1/2" x 11", 74 pages, excellant condition.
