In 1915 he was working for the New York Journal. His work extended into the 60's and included many notable events. His pictures were available via wire service for publication in various newspapers. He did a lot of magazine work particularly in the sports category. Naturally his work included commercial shoots for advertising. He documented experiments and processes for colleges and industries.
