What I am listing tonight Is an 8 x 10 photo of a Telegram sent to families of Survivors of the sinking of the USS Indianapolis. It on photo paper printed from a negative by a professional photo laboratory. It has the actual real autograph of Survivor, Glenn Morgan. The autograph was obtained by me while attending Reunions of the USS Indianapolis 1995-2007. I have attended all USS Indianapolis Reunions 1995-2007. The USS Indianapolis Organization had recognized me as a Historian and Photo Archivist, ( see scan) I am also a former member of the Second Watch Organization. I attended Reunions when very few people that were not Survivors or their families attended. I became friends with Mr. Morgan. He kept the telegram In a magnetic photo album. Knowing that this style of album would ruin the contents, I asked Mr. Morgan If he would loan me the telegram so that I could have IT photographed by a professional photographic laboratory,an Internegative negative was made and 8 x 10 copies In color from the negative. This was the old way of doing things before scanners. It was a very expensive way to copy but worth It. It has never been my Intent to profit off this event. I went to considerable personal expense accumulating a large collection of photographs of the USS Indianapolis and traded the 8 x 10 photographs for the men's autographs.
