This is a 1:500 scale heavy metal model of the USS LONG BEACH, CGN-9, that appears to have been made for the Navy by Comet Metal Products. Stamp on bottom of base says: 5AA SERIES USS LONG BEACH CG(N)9, SCALE 1:500, DESIGN APPROVED APRIL 19--?, UNCLASSIFIED, COMET METAL PRODUCTS CO., INC., RICHMOND HILL, 19, N.Y. Mounted on plywood base. Overall length:18 1/2", Height: 3 1/4". Condition good--Appears to be missing one lifeboat and a small detail on top of stack. Some guns and other details may be slightly bent. Shipping based on 5 lbs from 20118. I take Paypal, money orders, and checks with hold.
