Nakhimov medal awarded to soldiers and sailors , sergeants and petty officers , warrant officers and non-commissioned officers of the Navy and naval units of the Border Guard. The Medal of Nakhimov produced : for skillful, initiative and courageous actions that contributed to the successful accomplishment of combat missions ships and units of the naval theaters ; for their courage in defending state maritime borders of the USSR ; for the dedication shown by the performance of military duty, or other services during active military service under conditions involving a risk to life. Nakhimov medal worn on the left side of the chest and in the presence of other medals of the USSR is located after the medal " For Military Merit ." Total produced more than 13,000 awards Medal of Nakhimov . Provision, the medal was changed in 1947 and 1980.
