Suzanis are remarkable objects, reflecting in artistic form the traditional understanding of the universe, nature, happiness and love. This item is traditional Suzani from Lelinabad Tadjikistan. The age of the item is the first part of the 20th century. The foundation of embroidery is cotton fabric of black color. This item has a very nice Traditional Tadjik design. The pattern of the embroidery is composed of one big central rosette adorned with blossoms and floral stalks. Great skill and talent of Tadjik needle workers found its expression in this work. The size: 55 x 52 inches ( 140-132 cm) Approx. age: Middle of 20th century. Foundation: cotton fabric Condition: Very Good.
