Thank you to all our great customers, we hope to hear form you again soon,all the best! ITEM: Up for auction is a Very Fine and Rare c1791 Georgian Irish Sterling Silver Pierced Raised Basket Bowl. The Irish Silver Basket is part of a Large Collection of Silver and other Fine Quality Estate items up for auction, as you can see in the last picture. The Basket is by far one of the finest period examples we have seen. As you can see the Basket has a great period form. It also has Very Fine Hand Cut Pierced work throughout. The Shape of the Basket is also very pleasing, with nice Elongated Georgian Form. The Basket also has nice period Bright Cut decorations around the pierced work giving the Basket a great quality look. The Stand is also nicely design with pierced work matching the top. The Baskets top rim is also Reinforce with Very Thick Sterling Silver making the Basket very strong. The Basket is also in fine original condition with no dints, cracks, or repairs. It has also never been Monogrammed which is a nice Rare find. As you can see the Basket is Irish Sterling Silver Hallmarked for Dublin the Year 1791, and has the makers mark MH. The Basket is also very Thick Sterling Silver throughout, really top quality weighing 665 grams on our postal scale. It is also a nice Large size measuring 14 inches long, by 7 inches wide, and sits 8 inches tall. I believe this example would have been made as a Bread, Sweat Meat, or Cake Basket. I have no idea what the c1791 Georgian Irish Sterling Silver Raised Basket would be worth. I do know it may be some time before you see another one of this quality, and being Irish this early, and in this fine original condition, having No Reserve! As usual we just start all my items off low, and will let you decide. Like a Real Auction should be!!
