VALOR RARE MODEL 797 DUEL EDGE FIGHTER KNIFE MADE IN SEKI JAPAN Up for bid consideration is a very rare vintage Valor Model 797 duel edge combat fighting knife which is quality made in Seki Japan, the knife making capital of the world, by highly regarded and trained craftsman. The knife is a duel edge blade design made from a single piece of 440 Stainless steel with a one piece kraton rubber type handle with lanyard hole, and it has an exposed skull crusher type pommel. This knife design is very simular to the vintage Gerber Mark II fighter and it also has two places on the duel edge blade that are serrated for sawing rope and simular type objects! The knife comes complete with the original black leather sheath which incorporates the military type web gear hanger and tie down thongs. One side of the blade is marked "Valor, over Seki Japan and on the obverse is marked "797" over 440 Stainless." I havent seen another Valor Model 797 for sale on ebay or at any gun and knife shows I have attended so I believe this model is rarity and its in very good condition for a 25 to 40 year old knife! More than likely, this fine quality knife will increase in monetary value over time due to the limited availability of this superbly crafted knife...No longer made!
