DESCRIPTION: Soon after Jim Warren and Forry Ackerman introduced Vampirella to U.S. fans, K.G. Murray (1950's B Horror Film Mogul ), made a deal with Warren to publish his own version in Australia. In some respects the Australian Vampi may be superior to its American first cousin in that it reprints the best of the U.S. art/stories while adding more pizazz to their issues with their own talented artists and writers. A 30 day search for a K.G. Murray Vampirella #1 on eBay Australia failed to bring up even one listing. We can only assume that it is as rare (or rarer) than its American counterpart. VAMPIRELLA #1 Vampirella #1 starts out with the "Origin Of Vampirella" an original story with artwork very similar to Frank Frazetta's style (artist/writer unlisted).
