Van Briggle 1906 Design 49 Matte Blue Large Vase It is 9 ¾ inches tall by 7 ¾ inches wide. It is a dark blue matte glaze with a wash of green glaze on the leaves. W the green is the surface became rough with some pitting. The blue matt varies from top to bottom with it being more mottled at the top and more even at the bottom. The vas was photographed with different lighting to show more detail and the effect is more subtle like in the softer lit photos. T are a few tiny glaze flakes on the top shown by the red arrows in the photograph which is blown up very large. T is also a few minor glaze pops. It is marked on the bottom with the AA mark,Van Briggle, the design or shape number 49, 1906, and an underlined 3which are all incised. If it does not sell it will go to the LA Pottery show or Rago's. Buyer pays insured priority mail shipping in the US. International will be Global priority or another rate if available.
