VANESSA REDGRAVE Hand Signed Photo, LETTER 1967 Camelot Provenance: Envelope and Camelot Letter - February 1967 This auction is for Hand-signed Photograph and Letter from Vanessa Redgrave . She is a famous theaterical actress that is apart of the practically legendary Redgrave family. We know to stay away from most autographs because of rampant forgery and fraud, so we only work with collections that present provenance with the items - see History, below for details. Auction Inventory & Provenance One hand-signed photograph of Venessa Redgrave . The autograph reads," Tsa, All the best 'Camelot' " and her signature below the little comment and it is written in black ink. The picture measures 9 1/4" tall and 7 1/4" wide. One typed letter. The letter is dated February 1st, 1967 and is typed on Camelot Letterhead. The letter reads:" Dear Tsa Thank you very much for you letter and for your good wishes. I am so glad you like my work and thank you for taking the trouble to write and tell me ." Her name is signed below. One envelope with no return address to "Tsa ...", postmarked, February 13, 1967. History We purchased an entire collection of autographs from an estate auction and are selling them individually. As stated above, we normally stay away from autographed items because of fraud and forgery so we would only purchase collections that contain original unique provenance. In this case, the entire collection was sold with letters and envelopes along with the autographed photographs that provide us with proof or authentification - provenance. The lady who owned this collection used to write to all of the stars in the 1950s and 1960s and maintained the collection in their original envelopes, etc. Please watch our auctions as we will sell over 100 autographed photos from this collection and another 20 autographs from the estate of a person who worked at Longchamps Riverboat restaurant at the bottom of the Empire State Building in the 1960s.
