Wonderful Vanguard foal, bay color. He has really nice mold detail, pretty color shading, and hand-painted bi-color eyes. Vanguard is model #B-751, and was designed by Maureen Love. he was produced from 1963-72. This guy has a repair to each foreleg, as shown in photos. He also has a small chip right at the bottom of his left front hoof, as shown. The leg repairs are nice and straight. The left leg was a nice clean break, and the right has a little chipping. Someone tried to color in a chip, I think - that's what the reddish dot is on the photos. I don't know what glue was used - I purchased him in this condition. Some heavy glaze inside left ear (from factory). Vanguard has no sticker or markings, but guaranteed to be Hagen-Renaker. He is about 4 ¾" tall at eartips.
