Unique piece of art and history. Two Egyptian women holding a vessel on their heads with their arms and bodies entwined. Lid comes off for incense. I think this is spelter with a bronze finish, but am not sure. A few places have black showing through. I don't think this has had much incense burned in it, as the lid inside shows very little black. The only imperfection I can find, is a small indent with a sharp edge on the back rim of the vessel that holds the incense. Bottom is marked, "Vantine's Made in France No. 1286" Under the word, Vantine's, it looks like another word was added, but smoothed out. I can't make out what this was, and I could be wrong all together. The weighs almost 2 pounds and measures 7 inches tall and 6 3/4 across at the base. As you can see from the picture, it is a very thin piece except for the base and the vessel. Please use shipping calculator below for exact shipping to you. Check out my other items !
