The Varga girl was created by the illustrator Alberto Vargas and was very popular with the servicemen during World War II.George Blaisdell, founder of Zippo, was fascinated with the series and use the Varga girl for advertising the "windproof" concept lighter, naming the Vargas girl Windy! The intricate details in the Varga Girl are amazing from the lighter she is holding to the folds in her wind blown skirt.All items included in the auction are depicted in the photographs provided.
