Detailed Description … to the best of my ability VARIANTO ELEKTRO 3112U This is a 1950s, Germany US-Zone, Schuco Varianto Elektro 3112U tin litho, battery operated car! It is about 4.5" long and is in great vintage condition. Condition Assessment … my non-professional interpretation The vehicle is complete and in tact. The red body is vibrant in color and in great condition. The undercarriage is near mint. The bed, wheels and tailgate have some slight scratches from use. See the photos for condition assessment. The box is in tact and comes with instruction sheet, but shows wear from age and use. The batteries used were slightly smaller than our current "AA" batteries and without a transformer, I have no way to test the motor. But it is obvious by its condition that someone took great care of this amazing toy.
