for bid is a stunning vaseline & cranberry opalescent JIP vase with applied glass decoration. The exact age & maker are unknown. This vase stands 5 1/2" tall and is 5 1/2" wide. I love the crest area...the color is spectacular & the ruffled pattern looks similar to a 3 in1. The coloring of this vase is unusual & unique. The crest is a creamey cranberry. The reast of the vase is a amber opalescent swirl. T is a white flower with a yellow center & vaseline glass leaves 7 vines. When exposed to a blacklight the leaves & vines glow a neon green. The amber opalescent swirl seems to look sort of purplish. This is just a very unique vase. It is hand blown and it does have a semi-rough pontail mark. Unfortunately, this very unique vase has a few very minor issues. A couple of the white oetal on the flower has some small & quite minor nicks. This has happen from being bumped at sometime. The vine, w it connects to the leaf, has a sort of crackling to itunder the glass. I believe this was done during the manufacturing process. None of this is noticable...you really have to look for it to find & see it. This really is such a neat piece...even the swirl has a textured feel. This is a great deal at a starting bid of 99 cent.

These are pieces I've purchased over the years on ebay & at estate sales that were not all they were described to be. I'm sure many of you out t can relate to this.
