You are bidding on a Gorgeous and RARE example of an "Art-Deco", Vaseline Glass, Tee-Pee Seltzer Bottle from "DELAWARE PARK" Equestrian Raceway, of Wilmington, Delaware (c.1920-1930). ALL THE FACTS: This wonderful seltzer measures 10" tall and has a 3.75" graduated base diameter. As you can see from my pictures, this seltzer bottle is a true "VASELINE", and its color is AMAZING! This seltzer, and the other up for auction this week, were aquired from the estate of a local junkyard, as such the metal spouts of the bottles we purchased had already been removed and sold for scrap MANY years ago. ACID ETCHING: "DELAWARE PARK; CARBONATED BY PURITY BEVERAGE CO.; WILMINGTON, DEL.; REGISTERED CONTENTS 28 FL. OZ.". In addition, the base of seltzer bottle is etched: "MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA", along w/ the Czechoslovakian "Hot-Air Balloon" or "Lightbulb" mark of the period.PLEASE NOTE: The "Horse-Head" acid etching underneath "DELAWARE PARK". He's bridled w/ the wind whipping through his mane! Absolutely Fantastic, and sooooo VERY Cool! CONDITION: Overall, this piece is in EXCELLENT condition (Dare I say..."Minty" Condition?), but does show some MINOR wear and usage associated w/ vintage barware, especially during the "Roaring Twenties". Bottle shows expected "shelf-wear" on its base - In addition, I have noted 3 MINOR nibs on its base, and 1 MINOR chip, resembling that of a "bubble-burst" in the same area - BUT, my pictures are TRUE to its condition! How it photographs is how it will look in your bottle collection... This is a HIGHLY desirable piece for Seltzer Bottle Collectors and vintage Advertising Memorobilia Collectors...
