VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO UNPEELED BANANA GF LP From 1967 comes this vintage pressing of the seminal LP The Velvet Underground & Nico (Verve V6-5008) with a mostly unpeeled banana on its front cover! The gatefold sleeve (it is not the absolute first pressing with Eric Emerson's image superimposed over Lou's in the back cover shot of the group performing - he has been airbrushed out at this point) is very good plus wtih some minor ring and edge wear in addition to a little bit of scuffing and creasing, a few small spots of discoloration, and an inch-long seam split in its lower right-hand corner. The banana sticker on the front is largely intact, (t is a small tear at its tip, a slice across it about an inch down from t, another small tear along the banana's left edge about 40% of the way down, and another couple of small tears at its bottom). The LP itself is housed in its original stock Verve company innersleeve, has matrix numbers of V6-5008 SIDE-1 MGS-558 on side one and V6-5008 SIDE-2 MGS-559 on side two, and is excellent. To protect your investment, this LP - as with all vinyl purchased at The Great Escape Online - will be placed in a new plastic outer sleeve prior to packing and shipping.
