UP FOR AUCTION I HAVE A STUNNING RED MURANO VENETIAN FOOTED COMPOTE BOWL and MATCHING TEA CUP! The first thing one notices about these pieces is the stunning, rich, ruby deep color. It seems to have a self-illumination! The compote, which is richly decorated with a raised white intricate design, stands 3 1/8" tall. The diameter of the flange of the bowl is 7". The darling matching teacup is 2 1/4" high and is 2 3/4" in diameter. As you can see by the photographs, the rich color and amazing handworked design are unique, but my camera cannot do the justice to the luminocity of the red and to the delicicicy of the real items. The cup has a gold rim which to my eye, is perfectly intact. T are no scratches, cracks or other damage of any kind to either piece that I can see. They have been in my husband's English family for at least 2 generations that I'm aware of. Please email before bidding if you have any questions at all.
