This item is a Veritas® Low-Angle Smooth Plane (Veritas is the tool arm of Lee Valley). Also included are an extra 25 degree blade and a 38 degree blade. Item condition is used in good condition. Original box is not included. Important: Most of these planes I see for sale on eBay haven't been used. This one has. To repeat, this plane has been used . It has some scratches and dings. I've tried to show them all in the photographs. The plane is in excellent working condition, but it's not in new condition. Bear that in mind if you bid. The current retail price of this plane new is $179.00 US. The 38 degree blade sells for $26.50. So of course t's no point in bidding higher than the retail prices for these items added together. Finally, it is excellent for end-grain work. With the optional 38° blade, it is also the answer for working difficult grain, making it a well-rounded workhorse. This is a "bevel-up" plane, with a 12° bed angle similar to a low-angle block plane. The low cutting angle of 37° (using the supplied 25° blade) minimizes fiber tearing in end
