Coming straight from a Prominent New England Estate is this Gorgeous Verlys Opalescent Art Glass Vase! The Vase is deeply molded with multilevel dimensions, the strike from the mold is strong with beautiful contrasts of crisp and soft details! The vase is covered with adorable Bumblebees amongst wavy Tall grass on an all over vertical rippled background. The thick Opalescent glass is Stunning with lovely blue & fiery tones !! The condition is SUPERB!! I have examined this vase with a loop and by feel and t is absolutely NO damage whatsoever, not even a pinpoint nick anyw, the rim is perfect and retains it's original beveled edges. T are some light shallow strawmark lines around the top of the vase which is common with molded glass and is from production ,they are not immediately noticeable and do not detract from the display of the vase in any way! The base is concave cut with a beautiful polished finished. The vase is etched with the Verlys signature on the base as can be seen in the photo below. The vase measures 5" Tall and is 2" in diameter at the base, it is 2" wide from rim to rim amd is approximately 5" wide at the widest part of the body. I do not know the age of this vase , it is certainely a vintage piece as t is appropriate wear on the outer base rim which is commensurate with age. This is a Magnificent Verlys Opalescent Art Glass Bumblebee Vase that will become an asset to the finest of collections!! This is a very fine example of Verlys that will be a pleasure to own, comparable to the greatest French glass makers such as Lalique and Sabino.
