This is so totally cool! It's a Vintage horse drawn fire truck for your bar! It has a nice amber diamond pattern decanter that sits in the velvet lined cubby, six amber shot glasses that slide on to their designated slots on the front sides and back, two ladders, a bell and more! All original and in excellent condition. The only problem with this is the plastic horse has a missing ear, but this is a plastic horse which is easily replaced with any breyer type horse from any toy store. I am keeping this with the original horse to keep the entire set in it's original state and replacing the horse will be up to buyer. Personally I think a Clydesdale horse would look great with this set! The fire truck is musical and when you lift the decanter to pour a drink it plays "Roll out the Barrel" and stops when bottle is replaced. There is a very small wear spot in the velvet on the bottom of the inside of the cubby where the decanter sits and cannot be seen unless you take out the bottle and look inside. All brass parts have slight wear from age but does not detract at all. All other areas of truck are in excellent unworn condition. On the front of the fire truck has a plaque that reads "FD 102" and Still has original label on bottom which reads "Fred Roberts Co Made in Japan" which I believe this company was actually out of California. Measurements of this are as follows: Fire truck alone - 7" high to top of smoke stack, 15.25" long, and 5.25" wide. With the decanter in cubby it measures 10.25" high. The horse measures 7" high and 9" long. Complete with horse and all parts in place this entire piece measures 21.5" long. A very rare and unusual item with all it's original parts intact. This is an excellent piece of 1950's Fire Department memorabilia as well as a great conversation piece for your retro bar. A perfect gift for the Fire Man in your life!!
UPDATE: I was just informed by the expert at Eagleridge Collectibles in this antique mall that the horse is Breyer Race Horse #34 circa 1954-1966. Of course the horse is in used condition and is missing an ear, but he is this particular horse.
