This is an outstanding Painting/Drawing done by Francis Mimmick; signed F. Mimmick. Please read FULL description. The only background I have on this person was he lived until his late 90's. He signed the front - and backside has the year of 1959 in faded pencil. This was done on some type of thick artists board. The Art Work was done on one peice but he cut the outer section , then replaced it to surround original drawing. BOTH peices are drawn on. Then it has been mounted on one more piece of board. This was done in ink and pencil But perhaps some oil too. The middle section near/within spokes has a bit of texture to it! So not sure the exact meduims that all was used. One of the things I LOVE about this beside the work itself; is he also drew on the outer board!! Please look at pictures carefully to capture this. T are a few smudges, but this is mostly again on the outer drawn board section. Some faded pencil marks & t but seem to have been done on purpose. It has no glass so no telling how long it was unprotected. This is framed in metal but again; no glass. The Art Work itself measures approx. 17 & 1/2" by 22 & 1/2". All together it measures; 19" by 24 & 1/2". I can take this out of the Metal frame and ship it by itself lowering the shipping costs. So if it sells, let me know what you would like & I will send a new invoice! Thank you and Paypal only please due to the fact I am going out of thown right after auction ends. i want to ship all items before I leave. Again, thank you and hope some one else loves this as much as i do!
