SASIENI FOUR DOT RUSTIC EARLY PATENT PIPE
This is a wonderful early example of Sasieni. It is probably one of the earliest examples of a four dot that you are likely to find. First, it has the straight block lettering on the Made In England stamping. Second, it predates finish names, but is clearly an early example of Sasieni's rustic finish. Third, it is a patented pipe and still maintains its original metal "stinger". Fourth, it predates town name designations. It has a shape number of 51OR. Finally, it has a wonderful fish tail flourish on the Sasieni stamping. The only condition concern of note is light chipping on the outer edge of the bowl rim. Other than that, a fine example that should offer a superb smoke!
