ITEM: Up for auction is a Very Fine Early Japanese Carved Ivory Figure. The Ivory Figure is part of a Large Japanese and Chinese Period Arts Collection up for auction, as you can see in the last 2 pictures. Most of the items listed are out of my Parents Private Collection with some Very Fine period examples. A few months back we auctioned off a small portion of items out of the collection online that brought very much interest, and now we have decided to list some more.

The Ivory Figure is one of the Finest Carved Period examples we have seen. The details are Superb throughout, and the Ivory is Deeply Carved all around. As you can see every little detail is carved including Feet, and Hands with t nails, the draping robe, shoe bottoms, teeth, everything you would like to find of a fine period example. The Figure is also a nice size that I believe would be referred to as a Okimono measuring 7 1/4 inches tall, by 2 1/2 inches wide, and 2 inches thick. The Figure is also in fine condition for its age with some loss to the top fan, and a tight crack to the top figures leg. But overall very nice for its age with no other looses, cracks, or repairs. The Figure also has a nice Period Patina and Beautiful Authentic Ivory Graining throughout. The figure itself also has great expression and is very pleasing to look at.

I have no idea what the Early Japanese Carved Ivory Figure would be worth. You do not see to many of this age and quality come up for auction, and with No Reserve! As usual we just start all my items off low, and will let you decide. Like a Real Auction should be!! The Very Fine Early Japanese Ivory Figural Carving would make an great addition to any collection, and is also an excellent investment piece. BEST OF LUCK WITH THE AUCTION!

HISTORY: I am selling a Large amount of items collected over fifty years by myself, and my husband. Also t is my Parents Estate and collection. They were knowledgeable High End collectors for many years. They loved collecting the Finest, and Rarest items they could find, and doing a lot of traveling always came home with a few treasures! You should take a look at my other items, you never know what you may find! We usually list Thursday nights, but sometimes take week off for a break!
