Chinese Export 8" plate, decorated over a gold base, featuring oval reserves of people and birds, each one different. A duck swims near lilypads in the center medallion. The women have delicate gold ornaments in their hair and butterflies float between the oval reserves. This is not the usual Rose Medallion one so often sees. This piece is early; the work is very fine. From my own collection. The pictures, I'm sorry to say, simply don't reflect the beauty and high quality of this plate. Satisfaction guaranteed.
