Awesome quality spontoon head from around 1700s, exceptionally strong, having a very thick central ribbed reinforcement running from the very tip, broad arrow-shaped head is 6 ¼" in length on each edge, the tip is so thick that it has a nearly perfect diamond section, the width at the base is just under 2 ½", I can't accurately measure the thickness, but trust me you don't want it any thicker, this pike-head is superbly made. The neck for mounting on the shaft is also very thick and heavy, measuring 7 3/8" in length with about an inch in diameter opening, it's of an octagonal section outside and inside, everything throughout shows very honest heavy patina and pitting, as well as shows beautifully the extensive age of the weapon. Overall 13 5/8" in length, weights approximately 1 Lb. 5-6 Oz. Feels Fantastic.
