We are pleased to offer this very important example of NC pottery. Rarely seen is this type of teapot from the shops of Jugtown. Un-signed we attribute this one to Charlie Teague, the real first Jugtown potter. Absolutely amazing translucent glaze with mottled clay shining thru all over this beauty. Lid has had a repair many many moons ago and pot has hairline from bottom up beside spout. Pot is very sound and these flaws in no way detract from this wonderful example. Pot measures 7" tall and 11" wide. Shows various fleabites around tip of spout and lid opening, only mentioning to be accurate. If you are in the market for a true and special piece of southern pottery history this would be the one for you. Thanks for looking and if t are any questions please ask.
