A VERY NICE ,VERY UNIQUE AND EARLY BAYONET - this appears to be a a very unique bayonet even before you factor in an early EFD with no cleaning hole and multiple re-issue marks. The Wooden Handles have the Crown stamped on each handle with the T 5 E - See Pictures!! The VERY NICE Blade has no Rust or Pitting - The early 1907s that were made were according to regulations be modified with the cleaning hole in the handles - despite many re-issues - they overlooked this one. If You want or need a model 1907 for your collection - why not have a nice unique 1907 that cost the same or very little more than a standard common 1907. They are much more interesting and historic . In addition the Metal part of the handle was marked with Olive Drab paint for re-issue in WW11 for Jungle Warfare! This was done by the Military arsenal - not some want a be - individual. THIS IS AN EARLY -NO CLEANING HOLE) IN THE METAL HANDLE MODEL AND IT IS DIFFICULT TO FIND ONE THAT WASN'T LATER MODIFIED WITH THE HOLE ADDED PER REGULATIONS. British bayonet and scabbard used by England Canada and Australia in both WW1 and WW11. This Model 1907 was marked with numerous arsenal marks - it was manufactured by EFD and dated 5 14 , whick I am told means May of 1914 .
