We just got back from three weeks at home in Ireland and we found some wonderful old Irish and English items and is one of them. This is a very old (and most likely an antique) Shorter & Son (Stoke-On-Trent, England) berry bowl that we found at the Timothy O'Leary family estate sale in Westport, County Mayo. Before they were Shorter & Son, they were Shorter & Boulton and they made early Majolica. This late 1800s berry bowl is in very good condition and it's just another great example of what one can find an an Irish estate sale.We love this Shorter & Son berry bowl so if you don't like it as well as we do just keep your mitts off of it and we'll be happy to keep it. It's a lovely basket-weave pattern and in good condition. No chips or dips that I can find. It's 2 1/2" tall and 10 1/2" wide and you're going to love it.Thanks for looking and t's a lot more to see over at our Ebay Store - The Keltic Konnection Store - w you'll find over 450 unique Irish and Celtic items...and thanks for your support!
