Silver on Copper. I think this is a Sheridan piece.. See notes below about markings and picture...What do you think? Over the years............. This tray has been used at many a Holiday feast. This is a footed tray with 2 handles and three sections. The middle section is for a turkey or roast--t is an indented tree of life and well for a "gravy trickle trap" in this section. The side two sections are deep and could be used for Vegetagles, stuffing or potatos. On the Back of this piece it is marked with three boxes . In one box is a Crown, the second box has a stylized fancy "S" with an angled line thru it, and the third box has a Shield in it with an angled line with hatch marks. Underneath these three boxes are the words "Silver on Copper". This is the markings I think of Sheridan. This is a Heavy Piece, with a Baroque Look. T are Swirls and flowers on the handles, the entire perimeter of the edging of the piece. The four feet have a more simple design. -Overall dimensions from Outer Handle to Outer handle is 24 inches wide x 15 inches long outside edge to outside edge. -The measurement for the center section is 1 foot x 3 3/4 inches approx -The measurement for a side section is approximately 1 foot long x 7 3/4 inches wide.
