This is a very old apple peeler. I do believe it's from the late 1800's, but could also be from the very early 1900's. I believe at one time it must have been attached to a table or something because the bottom of it, w t are nails, they have been cut off. The 2 wooden prongs that hold the turner need to be glued down on the bottom piece of wood, as they go up and down about a half inch or less. When they are all the way down into the wood the way they are supposed to be, it doesn't sit flat on the table. T is a dowel missing on one of the wooden posts that holds the turner, and 2 pieces of it are about ready to break off. The other dowl goes up and down, and could be fixed also. Hope you can see that in the picture. My camera isn't the greatest.I can't guarantee that those parts will arrive to your house unbroken, but I will do my BEST to make sure it's packed well. The prongs that hold the apple are metal. The handle is wooden, and is pegged into the part that turns. It has what looks like one or 2 square head nails, but for the most part they are round. It's dry, and could use some oil. I use Howards orange oil on my primitives, and NOTHING else. It works wonders, and doesn't leave a shiny effect. I think I've covered everything, but if you have any questions, please ask, because sometimes I do over look things... I am in the middle of packing to move, so I will be listing off and on, so check back often... This is an "AS IS" sale, meaning no refunds, and no returns. I try to describe the items the best that I can, but sometimes unintentionally, I may over look something. Payment is expected within 7 days after the auction is over. I DO NOT TAKE PERSONAL CHECKS!! I accept paypal, money orders, and post office money orders. I usually always ship priority. I ship only a couple times a week. Depending on when the auction is over, it may be a day or 2 or 3 before it gets mailed to you. I don't deliver an item. I DO request insurance on items, especially if the item is breakable, because I can't be responsible for them after they leave It's up to the buyer if they want insurance or not though. Thank you for stopping by and check out my other auctions I have going on now.
