Up for auction is this awesome 1863 Period Civil War Loan for $500 granted by Congress and President Jefferson Davis for the Confederate States of America on Feburary 20, 1863!!!! This excellent piece of American history displays several beautiful vignettes and looks to be in overall excellent condition with no visible rips or tears. Bond has been folded in the past (as they all were) and appears to have some light age patina also. This great war bond also has signatures from the register of the treasury and is Bond # 2661!!!
