VERY RARE MINIATURE BLACK FOREST WAG CLOCK!!
Yes, this auction IS for the Very, Very Rare and Beautiful Miniature Black Forest Wag Alarm Clock!! These are Rarely offered at sale! It has a handmade brass sheild representing an Eagle, perched over a sheath with a medieval axe on the right and arrows on the left! The movement is chain driven, walnut and brass! This clock dates from 1780 - 1800 and does have some age related wear. A piece of the guide for the chain is missing as is the brass cover over the mechanism and the two side doors. It will need a small wire wag pendelum, a minute hand, and a tiny bell. It has 1 weight. Most of this work is fairly simple. The porcelain face is beautiful, although t are a few age hairline cracks! This extraordinary Black Forest clock measures only 2"D x 4"H x 2.5"W! Over the next several weeks I will be listing an incredible collection of extraordinary antiques. These are being sold on a commission basis for a local businessman who is downsizing his extensive private collection.
