Very Rare Victorian Portrait Vase - Bristol - 1870s-1880s (See Additional Pictures Below) DescriptionThis is a beautiful Victorian portrait vase made in Bristol, England in the late 19th century. It is very important to note that this vase is a portrait vase and not a more common cameo vase. Also adding to the rarity of this vase is the black amethyst glass which was very difficult to work with. Also worth noting is the excellent condition of this piece. The portrait, the glass and the enameling is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or breaks. Most Bristol vases of this age have some degree of damage because of the thinness of Bristol glass. The combination of the portrait, the black amethyst, the age and the condition makes this vase a true rarity! Please see the pictures below for the exact condition of this vase. The pictures do not do this vase justice. This is an absolutely stunning vase! This vase is 14 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide at the base, 5 inches wide at the mouth and 5.5 inches at the widest part of the flare. Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding. We will respond in a timely manner. Shipping/Handling The shipping price for this item is $19.95 for USPS Priority Mail and includes professional packing and appropriate insurance.
