About me: I have been a member on Ebay for about a year now and I've been buying many different types of antiques on Ebay, private auctions, and estate sales. I am now in the process of opening up an antique furniture and decorative arts store and I overstocked a little so now I am selling some very beautiful and extremely rare antiques and items on Ebay. The Item: we proudly present to you a 100% GUARANTEED Very Rare Rene Lalique, vintage c. 1938 estate liquor carafe & 6 shot glasses with plump cherubs. It is signed R. Lalique. Each cherub is frolicking among massive vines and in a different pose. T is also a great Bacchante style signed R. Lalique France. The Beautiful Art Deco crystal lead ribbed decanter has a satin stopper with a different putti or cherub on each face. The condition is good. The carafe measures approx 9" in height. Please excuse us for the poor pictures, for our camera cannot capture the piece's true beauty and intricate details, but we assure it is a gorgeous R. Lalique piece. The bottom is marked in block letters: R. Lalique France. The set was bought at the Lalique Boutique store in Paris in early 1939 (as we were told when we bought the item, from the son of the older gentleman that we bought it them). This is a great item to add to your collection. T are 6 glasses. WE ACQUIRED THIS PIECE FROM AN OLDER GENTLEMAN IN A MANHATTAN APARTMENT. The winner will be very lucky to own such a piece.
