VERY RARE AND ELEGANT five piece sterling set by Dominick and Haff . Set was retailed by JE Caldwell. Set consists of a coffee pot, tea pot, creamer, sugar with lid, and waste bowl . The set is date stamped 1884. All the pieces are in exceptional condition ! T is one very very minor pin prick on the coffee pot - difficult to find! All the other pieces are in perfect condition - no dents or scratches. The handles have ivory inserts and wobble ever so slightly - you won't really feel it until you shake it a little! All the pieces are monogrammed with the initials KLC. The monogramme looks very much like a crest and it adds to the charm of the set - not distracting at all. Underneath the coffee pot is inscribed; Katherine Leighton Crehore, With the Dear Love of her Aunt and God Mother, Sarah F Daniells, 4th September 1884. Each piece sits of four ball feet. T are details throughout! I have not seen one like this. It really is very beautiful. Very well cared for! The dimensions (only approximates) are as follows; Coffee pot: 23 cm (9.25") from handle to spout, 17 cm (7") high, and 12.5 cm (5") wide Tea pot: 25 cm (10") from handle to spout, 14.5 cm (5.5") high, and 11.5 cm (4.75") wide Sugar with lid: 12.5 cm (5") high, 19.5 cm (7.5") from handle to handle, and 11.5 cm (4.75") wide. Creamer: 10.5 cm (4.25") high, 15.5 cm (6.25") from handle to spout, and 8 cm (3.75") wide Waste bowl: 8 cm (3.25") high, 14.5 cm (5.75") long, and 12 cm (4.75") wide Please ask as many questions as is necessary as I may not have covered details that may be pertinent to you.
