This is a 100% original H.G. Long sleeve dagger and lapel dagger set. It comes with its original factory hg long box. As you know, H.G. Long made this type of sleeve dagger for the U.S. OSS and the British SOE during World War II. The knives were imported and finished by John Ek in the United States . This knife is made of one piece of steel and measures just over 7" long, with a blade that is 3-1/2". The handle is deeply stamped with the original hg logo: crossed daggers in a shield, and: "H.G. Long & Co./ Est. 1847/ Sheffield England ". The blade is triangular, with three blood grooves. The groove at the end of the handle is for you to put a loop to grab the knife quickly and easily. The sheath is known as an "X" sheath, because of the way the strap loops through the slots and around your arm. Mike Stewart, Past President of Blackjack/ Ek examined these knives and told the original owner that these items were finished at EK, while he was President. Original custom leather sheath, made in England . Both knife and sheath are in factory new condition, never sharpened or used. The H.G. LONG lapel dagger is also 100% original and comes with its original factory custom leather sheath.KNIFE and sheath are in mint condition just as they left the h.g. long factory. NOT PICTURED BUT THE...LAPEL DAGGER ALSO COMES WITH A FREE GIFT.... A VERY HIGH QUALITY AND VERY WELL MADE CUSTOM KYDEX NECK CARRY SHEATH... IF YOU ARE NOT IN THE U.S. NOTICE THAT I DO NOT TAKE PAYPAL ! SO HAVE A PAYMENT PLAN IN PLACE,IF YOU BID ! THANKS !
