Lee / Rose No. - 654-A cup plate, early and very rare Eagle design SAVE ON SHIPPING WITH MULTIPLE ITEMS PURCHASED. This is an early flint glass cup plate from around 1830 and one of the harder to find variations. I am listing two of these plates please see my other auction for the other. In the Lee/Rose book this is listed as No. 654-A. It is colorless, lightly cloudy. it has an Eagle in center, a plain rope rim, and a vine pattern of acorns and oak leafs. Please note, this is truely a scarce and rare plate. The last one I am aware of selling at auction was at GVA in 2004, and it sold for $176 and had an edge flake and under rim mold roughness. Also the Skinner auction of Jedlicka collection had one that almost reached $500. Condition of this one is very good plus, it has a near the rim flake on top as shown in the picture. it is almost 1/8 x 1/4 but shallow.
