Up for auction is this rare work. This is the complete set (vol 1 & 2) of "Egypt the Cradle of Ancient Masonry" by N.F. DeClifford. Book one is 289 pages and book two is 355 pages. These huge volumes are nearly 10 pounds each! The books are 11.5" long and 9" wide. These are massive books. These were printed in 1907. They are in good condition. T is some wear to the covers and corners. T is typical foxing on some of the pages.

Amazon considers these books to be "extremely rare". The only copy I can find online currently lists at more than $2,000.

The Amazon book discription is as follows:

Comprising a history of Egypt, with a comprehensive and authentic account of the Antiquity of Masonry resulting from many years of personal investigation and exhaustive research in India, Persia, Syria and the valley of the Nile. Extremely rare book. Illustrations. Partial Contents: Alexandria; Origin of the name Freemason; Scottish Rite philosophy; Supreme Architect; Esoteric teaching of the Scottish Rite; Pyramids; Solomon; Sun Worship; Ineffable Degrees; Masonic Teachings, Hindu beggar, Roman Catholicism; Ceremonies, Initiation, Blue Lodge; Jewish Traditions and Customs; The Lost Word.

These books are focused on more of the esoteric side of the Craft. T is information in these books that are outside the typical education of most Masons. This looks into the hidden and more ancient secret side of Freemasonry. This would be a great gift or addition to your Masonic library or collection.

Enjoy!
