KNSMOKEY'S JARS

RED BOOK #1737 EXTREMELY RARE MINT - MINT - MINT QUART SIZED * * MASON'S * * (OVER A PICTURE OF A) * * LARGE ROUNDED TOP KEYSTONE * * (OVER) * * KEYSTONE * * FRUIT JAR

Hello Everyone! You are looking at a EXTREMELY RARE - quart sized, sloped shoulder fruit jar with a VERY NEAR PERFECT ground mouth (just has 2 insignificant in the making flakes & a few nibbles, commonly associated with the grinding process of its lip)... that is a PRETTY aqua green in color :-)! It is jar #1737 in the Red Book #10 , circa 1869 to 1872 and **made by the John L. Mason Manufacturing Company of New York, New York** - NOT to be confused with the commonly found "Mason's (keystone with a *flat top*) Improved" or the "Mason's (flat top keystone) Patent Nov. 30TH 1858" series jars , which were made by the Mason Fruit Jar Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylavania... & that Mr. John L. Mason had absolutely NO affiliation with whatsoever :-). It is a jar that is RARELY ever seen for sale - anyw or anytime ... with a book value to prove it!

The jar is VERY STRONGLY embossed with, "MASON'S" (which is arched) over a large picture of a *long & rounded top* keystone figure over "KEYSTONE" (which is arched in the other direction)... please see the pictures! The base of the jar shows some normal wear to it (which one should expect to see on a old canning vessel such as this) - and is VERY WELL embossed inside of a large circle with "PAT'D JAN 19 1869" with the number "25" in its center... again please see the pictures! The jar looks ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT in a display or sunlit window - and would make a IMPRESSIVE addition to anyones collection (beginner or advanced alike)... GUARANTEED! It will come with a PERFECT CONDITIONED - matching aqua green colored glass insert... that is stamped VERY STRONGLY on top in a circular pattern with, "MASON FRUIT JAR CO. ~ PHILADA." with a "keystone emblem" in its center with the number "4" in it & that is secured to the jar by its tight fitting, GREAT conditioned zinc screw band - and is ready to be a PRIZED addition & PRIDEFULLY displayed! This closure is found on this particular jar nearly 100% of the time - but is NOT the original closure (which is a SUPER RARE metal insert, stamped with the keystone emblem on its top)... of which I have NEVER SEEN ONE IN ALL MY YEARS OF COLLECTING, and is valued at HUNDRED'S OF DOLLARS by itself :-)!

Best of all is the jars condition... it is MINT, MINT, MINT! Other than the already mentioned trivial lip flakes, t are a few EXTREMELY MINOR (and I mean EXTREMELY MINOR) scratch/scuff/rub marks, that are to be expected on any used canning jar of age - NOT BAD AT ALL in my opinion... and that I am only mentioning for accuracy :-). THAT'S IT! Absolutely no other chips or cracks of any kind - and it is CLEAN to boot! If you are a collector of the ** RARE ** Mason's jars... then is a jar that is a MUST HAVE for your collection! Don't wait... and miss out on this opportunity... as I seriously doubt that you'll find another anytime soon! Add this VERY RARE ~ MASON'S (keystone emblem) KEYSTONE jar to your collection today! Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!!

Money Orders or Cashiers Checks prefered - but Personal Checks accepted. Sorry... but NO PAY-PAL. Payment is required within 10 days. Item shipped same day or next... if paid for by Money Order or Cashiers Check. If paying by Personal Check your item will be held up to 10 business days before shipping (for clearance at my bank) - I'm sorry for this... but too many bad checks has made this necessary.

I ship to United States & Canada ONLY. Priority Mail is my only shipping method in the United States. USPS Airmail Letter/Parcel Post is used for Canada (depending on weight of package) . Insurance is REQUIRED on all purchases over $25.00 - if under $25.00 it is optional. Combined shipping is available for ONLY up to 2 jars (due to USPS outrageous over sized box charges), unless you are fully willing to pay for the oversized shipping amount - I am very so...
