These very rare miniature spurs were made by Elmer Sellers of Floydada, Texas. He died around 40 years ago. He was known for his miniature spurs but also made full size spurs for the cowboys in the panhandle of Texas. Floydada is located between Plainview and Matador Texas. He is written up in two books that I know of. "Cowboy Antiques and Collectibles" published in 1978 and Jane Pattie's book "Cowboy Spurs and Their Makers". The smallest pair of spurs were pictured in "Cowboys Antiques and Collectibles" book in the spur chapter. Both pair of these miniature spurs were once owned by A.W. Hunter "The Spur Man of the Canton, Texas Trade Days". If you have collected spurs for some time you know of A.W. Hunter. Elmer Put his name on his full size spurs and initials on the small ones if he had room. The smallest pair are not marked because they were too small. I guarantee these were made by Elmer Sellers. You get both pairs and the miniature anvil to display the spurs. The anvil is dated May 6, 1913. The quarter is for size reference. Please take a good look at the photos because I take no returns. Please email all questions BEFORE buying. Thanks!
