This auction is for a very rare, wood inkwell made by S. Silliman in Chester Connetticut. The wood is in excellent condition, the glass that holds this ink may be broken off the top! I really do not know if it is supposed to looked chipped or not. Regardless I am starting the auction low. American turned and grain painted wooden inkwell signed on the bottom with a paper label "Manufactured by S.Silliman & Co, Chester, Conn." circa 1850. Original glass inkpot and with cork on a string. Size: 3.25 inches diameter 1.75 inches tall. Do not pass this one up. Thanks for looking! I prefer PayPal, but will also accept postal money orders, cashier's checks, and personal checks from US and Canadian buyers . Paying by check is OK, but I will need to delay shipping for 5 days for the check to clear âe" sorry - kinda standard these days...
