This is a fabulous sterling silver meat tray.....VERY RARE as it is not just a tray but one specifically for serving meat or anything with a gravy or sauce which is very hard to find especially in vintage sterling silver. This gorgeous platter is solid with a very nice weight and the detail on it is wonderful. The tray is a perfect size measuring 12 1/4" x 18" and it stands upon (4) adorable feet ...."footed" sterling is so elegant and rare..... just look at the detailing on the front and back of the tray...no detail was overlooked! The tray is fully hallmarked as you can see, by the Frank W. Smith Silver Company of Massachusetts started in 1892....this company was known throughout it's existence as a producer of high quality sterling silver flatware and holloware. This antique silver is very hard to come by especially in this high quality. This is a stunning piece in excellent condition without any dents or dings that I can find.... this serving piece would look beautiful on any table and would definitely be a conversation piece for any collection. ...the tray is polished perfect and ready to go....it is absolutely exquisit!
