I'm no metallurist but I believe these are pure pewter goblets not plated like todays pewter. These are very rare . Genuine pewter does not rust but does develop a soft patina over years which these have. That patina can be removed but most of the information on the internet says not to clean it off as it takes away from the value so I did not attempt to polish these. Another evidence that these are pure pewter is the softness of the metal. They are malleable to the touch and can be easily bent almost like butter. This kind of pewter is rare today as most of it was used up during WW 2 for bullets and other items and the rest has been collected up. A couple of the cups have minor dents and all have a dark patina and t These goblets are 6" tall and about 8" around the lip. If you are a true collector of pewter then are some fine examples.
