Stanley "EXCELSIOR" # 9 1/2 block plane. This looks to be a type 6, 1885 - 1886. It appears to have all the correct parts and work smoothly. It does not have any of the commonly found chips to the throat. T are some small areas of light pitting on the very right rear of the body and cap. The plane has a nice even patina and displays well. T are some small owners marks or chips on the tail as shown. I have an original copy of John Walter's "Stanley" book, first edition listed. These books are very informative and getting harder to find, particularly in very good condition. Please look at it if you might want one. I have several collectable planes listed and I will always combine shipping to save a few bucks. Please ask questions early enough for me to answer them. I will certainly do my best to answer them.
