This item is a Millers Falls No.12 two-speed heavy duty chest drill. It weighs about 5-1/2 lbs and is about 18" in length. The drill has a two-jaw chuck, and a gear painted bright red. T is no Millers Falls decal on the red gear, and apparently t never was one. Crank and side wood handles are a dark redish brown. The steel frame is jappaned (special thick enamel) black. The crank handle is stamped "Millers Falls, No. 12". Note that to change speeds the operator disconnects the large red gear and puts it into a more forward hole This drill is in overall good condition, and is a good candidate for restoration. The chuck is in super condition with no rust, the frame and shoulder or chest rest has about 90% of the japanning intact, the red paint on the gear is about 90% intact, the crank shows no rust, the two wood handles show some of the usual toolbox or workbench dings, but are easily repairable, The level that helps the operator to bore straight holes is intact with no rust and is fully functional. This is is a very good Millers Falls collectible tool! Good luck bidding!
