In fact he sold Don Anderson (founder of Great Planes) his first Radio. Since the founding of Slot and Wing it has now had several owners. Bryant Thompson first sold it to his daughter "Christie Thompson" back in 1976 and she opened a shop in Champaign. In 1982, it was sold to her brother Mark Thompson who ran the business for 25 years moved the store 4 times in Champaign and sold it to his son Cole Thompson and two partners, Randy McDaniel and Chad Hoover. Our store has unique value; we are located in the same town as the two largest hobby distributors in the world; Hobbico and Horizon Hobby. Since we're in their backyard; we have very fast access to their warehouses. That bonus and 44 years of business is why we have accumulated a dense inventory.
